Back to T-10 minutes... maybe someone needs to open the hatch and kick the offending box.

Nice view of the booster on the ground, and in the background the CC descending under the chutes, with the Moon also in view. :hailprobe:

William Shatner's Going to Space on Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin Rocket Ship

Decades after he last played the role, William Shatner's going to become a real-life Captain Kirk ... because he's going to space ... on Jeff Bezos' rocket ship ... TMZ has learned.
Though he won't be boldly going where no man's gone before -- because Bezos and his Blue Origin crew already did it -- sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the 90-year-old actor is slated to be part of the second crew to take the space flight in the New Shepard capsule. That would make him the oldest person ever to be launched into space.

The source is what it is, but... wow!
Maybe the flight after could that Patrick Stewart and some of the TNG gang.... make it so!

The oldest astronaut in space is Peggy Williams, the oldest male astronaut in space is John Glenn. Now we will see the oldest space tourist for the first time.

Bezos Wants to Create a Better Future in Space. His Company Blue Origin Is Stuck in a Toxic Past.

https://www.lioness.co/post/bezos-w...-company-blue-origin-is-stuck-in-a-toxic-past

We are a group of 21 former and current employees of Blue Origin. Many of us have spent our careers dreaming of helping to launch a crewed rocket into space and seeing it safely touch back down on Earth. But when Jeff Bezos flew to space this July, we did not share his elation. Instead, many of us watched with an overwhelming sense of unease. Some of us couldn’t bear to watch at all.

I also felt a sense of unease to be honest. But it was basically because all they did up there obviously was to throw balls and candies. If that's the purpose of space tourism, I don't get the sense. One can throw balls and candies in zero g for far less money on parabolic flights. New Shepard got huge windows for a reason. If I could take a ride I would spend most of the time watching the black sky, the blue layer of the atmosphere and the earth's surface...
