Hey guys. So I’m having an issue, started a mission with Endeavour (orbiter 2016 & SSV). trying to cone back home with Shuttle FDO MFD…i set the launch time (calculated by subtracting the MET from current GMT). I set TIG to fixed. I input the TIG for a selected opportunity, enter items 14 thru 18 and item 27…execute the burn, but I noticed it’s way WAY off. One for KSC33, when it came down to 3 minutes until the burn, I was over Africa…nowhere near where I should be. The first time I tried FDO it worked flawlessly (granted that was only one deorbit..maybe beginners luck) but on this mission, nothing seems accurate. It shows me opportunities but then I enter the TIG for one along with all the parameters (C1,C2,HT,THETAT, and PL) then of course the TIG…but I’m way to short or way too long….can someone PLEASE help me? What am I missing? Would changing your orbit inclination etc with the scenario editor screw things up? Don’t see how that would be because you’re essentially doing the same thing when docking to the ISS. PLEASE help…I need to master reentering the shuttle once and for all!

Got a scenario where you are having trouble? Best together with the MFD save file, saved on the configuration page. If it is an issue with the launch day or time then we could easily see it from that.

Using the TIG from the deorbit opportunities as the fixed TIG for the deorbit targeting is not the most precise technique, but it should not cause major issues. The best solutions can be gotten by using the free TIG option, because then the deorbit targeting is allowed to find a more optimum TIG. The input time for the free TIG option is a threshold time, so it's best to input a time that is a few minutes earlier than the deorbit opportunities TIG. Otherwise it might find a TIG one orbit later than desired.

Ok, I’ll send ya my scenario file and see if I can find the MFD Saved file.
