I was able to get the DX9 installed for 2016, and use the NG launch and it works fine, but I get the the same error in 2010 I got in 2016 before I installed DX9, "Initializing 3D environment using hardware device failed" BTW I have a AMD RX 560 GPU. When I installed DX9 D3D9ClientR12_forBeta the one recommended for the 2010 and launch the NG it doesn't show any video options, there is no D3D9Client module in the Modules tab to activate, so I must have done something wrong installing DX9? The only reason I want to fall back on 2010 is that I'm a Space 1999 fan and would like to use the Moonbase Alpha modules, and I see that they don't work with 2016, I have searched both here and and and other places and have not come up with a definitive reason why it does not work, any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried a different version 2010 p1 I think and was able to get the DX9 to show in modules but when I try to activate it I get an error X3004 undeclared indentifier and DX9 crashes. I honestly don't know where Orbiter.log file is or I would check to see what it says.
Thanks

Seriously: "DX9 for Orbiter 2016" is a pretty bold hint for which version of Orbiter it is created.

For Orbiter 2010 I'm using D3D9ClientR16_5

I'm not sure if there is a newer rev, but what I have works.

What do you mean the Space1999 modules don't work. They do except for Ummu.

Hey CptLuckyStar, can you post the orbiter.log file when it crashes? Also make sure your using the R16.5 version for d3d9.
