Like Topper I try to design my ship in Catia V5 and convert the data to .msh .

Here is what I tried (maybe someone is able to tell me why it doesn't work ;) ):

I saved the model in Catia as .wrl .

I imported the .wrl into Blender.

In Blender I used the orbiter addon to export to .msh .

I tried to look at the Mesh with MeshWizzard but it won't open.

MeshWizzard crashes with the the error message:

Run time error: '6'
Overflow

It's my first try to create a ship. So I don't really know what I am doing.

@Topper:

Have you found a answer, yet?

You can convert .wrl to .msh from AC3D.

A little addition to my previous post:

After exporting the Mesh out of Blender I used Shipedit, which can be found in the utils folder of orbitersdk. I used the function Calc/Check mesh. As far as I can see, that seemed to repair the mesh. It should probably work that way.
