The opportunity to create an escape plan in TransX while standing on the ground, instead of going to orbit first and then creating the plan, may be important in order to minimize the time in earth orbit. This is no problem when going from Earth to any other planet: I set the "select target" variable to "escape", then in stage 2, I fill the "eject plan" variables and afterwards I immediately have the opportunity to edit the "escape plan" variables in stage 1 and plan my flight while I am still on the ground.
However, this seem not to work when I only want to go to the Moon from Earth. This is probably because, in terms of TransX, I do not need to escape the Earth. But what can I do instead to plan my flight on the ground already?
