Hi!

I recently downloaded Orbiter Beta again in hopes of playing NASSP, and I believe I have everything installed including the D3D9 client. However, when I go into the Orbiter_ng file and try to select the D3D9 client in the Modules tab, the orbiter server launchpad freezes and then crashes. I was hoping someone could help me out. Thanks!

Yes, I have the D3D9 client for Orbiter beta. I also installed the DX9 runtimes and extracted them into my orbiter beta folder, but to no avail. Here is my log:

I also am struggling with getting Beta to run at all. It gets to the loading page but then crashes.

Even in the default scenerios?

Do you by chance have any antivirus that might be messing with Orbiter?

I usually keep my Orbiter installs under C:\Orbiter. If you have it somewhere else Windows might be killing it.

Try updating drivers.

Look in Event Viewer and let me know if you see anything related to the crash.

Even in the default scenarios it crashes. It's both the regular Orbiter 2016 and Orbiter beta that have the issue. I have it installed under C:\Orbiter beta.

Here is a screenshot of my event viewer after I tried to open it and it crashed.

Just in case:
You ran orbiter_ng.exe (with the D3D9Client module enabled)
and orbiter.exe (with the D3D9Client module disabled), right?

When you tried the "NG" Version (with the D3D9Client module), can you take a look at the D3D9Client log (located at C:\Orbiter2016 Beta\Modules\D3D9Client\D3D9ClientLog.html in your setup), maybe it tells you or us something.

No. I can't get it to enable the D3D9 client. Now, I can't even get the orbiter_ng.exe file to open at all. I click on it, and it just freezes, and says that it doesn't respond.

I would recommend running a memory diagnostics tool to check the health of the system memory.

Let's start from scratch:
You did extract Orbiter BETA from ZIP, right? You did "preserve the directory structure", right? - So the folders and sub-folders are as in the ZIP.
