This has been asked before, but I wanted to avoid necroposting.

I am trying to recompile the OrionIII (with some changes) from wo2001, but I am missing a "guidance" header file. At first I thought it was part of the CVEL sdk, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I PMed sputnik a couple of weeks ago but haven't received an answer.
Does anyone know where I might find that file?

Thanks in advance

I recently had the same issue, I got the file by e-mailing one of the people that also had used it:

https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=27579D7D745F6B79!3610&authkey=!AGGUSK9ueI4JXr4&ithint=folder,h

That's a link to my OneDrive, not sure if it will work for you, let me know.

Right click on the file icon and download.

Unfortunately the one I'm trying to recompile won't compile because of unresolved symbols in CVEL.lib

Solved by finding and installing VC++ Express 2008, and the old PlatformSDK.. ISO downloads for both to get them to work without errors or registration issues.

The web installer for VC++ Express 2008 creates a need for the program to be registered or it will lock up after some period of time, but the registration link is dead.

The web installer for PlatformSDK simply won't run on Windows 8.

The disk images don't have those issues.
