Since installing Orbiter2006P1 I have noted that all the internal VC MFDs are not working. The buttons below are visbile after clicking power on but all the MFD screens are black. Also the VC HUD is not diplaying. F8 shows all other views and MFDs OK. Problem is only with VC in both Space Shuttle and Delta Glider. Can anyone assist please?

This may indicate a problem with the graphics driver. Do you get the same results with 16 and 32 bit colour modes? Do you get the same results with fullscreen and windowed modes?

For testing purposes, can you run the RGB emulation driver (might take a long time to start) and see if that produces different results?

I have seen that the more frequent problem is when you try 32 bit instead of 16 bit color. Some graphic cards have that problem.

:speakcool:

You where right to point me to this. I tried 16 bpp and YES the VC MFDs and HUD are functioning! I noted that the resolution reset when I changed this as my Intel Graphics adpater auto adjusted the display (which distorted made everything shortened horizontally. I had been running 1280 x 1024 with 32 bbp and all looked great (except of course for the non funtional VC HUD/MFDs. Can suggest how to get full screen at 1280 x 1024 with 16 bbp successfully?

Thank you.;)

PS: I have never seen my PC bog down as badly as when I tired the RGB Emulation mode. It's rubbish!
