I read some Orbiter documents for converting LANDSAT images into tiles for Orbiter simulator but can't find any how to instructions. There is one document about planet texture document but it only mentions large planet bitmap to be converted into tiles with tileedit utility.
I searched for that through this forum but found only one source that martin just asked for help for converting LANDSAT images into global terrain package.
I have now some questions for you. How do I download LANDSAT images or higher resolution images from USGS database or google earth? I was looking for FTP accesss (bulk download access) but found some sites that only provides browser to select datasets for downloads from specific area.
Does anyone know how to convert Landsat 30m resolution images that were downloaded from USGS database into cylindrical tiles? Which level is 30m resolution?
