This occurs in the Orbiter 2010.
The simulator opens normal, but can not view the information contained in the panels (NOTE: panels aren't from the VC).

Simmilar glitch happens to me when I run Orbiter fulscreen, then alt+tab out and back in. Sometimes switching between 2D cockpits with F8 helps, if there is available more than just the 1 orbiter default.
I suggest trying alt+tab to see if there is any result, other than that I do not know.

The graphics card doesn't support non power of 2 textures, and since Orbiter 2010 MFDs are rendered like textures. You need to use Orbiter beta 111105 which fixes this issue, but introduces another, when power of 2 textures for MFDs are forced. Details in this issue report.

Have you tried turning on "always enumerate devices" listed in the video tab. Also what 3d devices (video cards) are listed when you choose the drop down menu? And what do you currently have set?

no...is Direct 3D HAL your only choices? Have you tried each one to see if it would work?
