Question Non-SCA 747

Hi! I'm trying to make Mojave a bit more alive, just wondering if there's a civilian 747 around somewhere or maybe someone knows how to easily remove mounts and vertical stabs from Kev's SCA if that's ok?

I Am not sure if Kev33 will work in 2016 or 2010. I had permission to use his stuff. But not sure if I have his code to recompile.

If it's for scenery, all you should need is the mesh.

Looks like he's into mesh only already, or do all those planes work ?!

If you go into Meshviewer
Select chasis mesh
Jump down thro Groups till get to mounts or stabs flashing
Note group number
Minus 1 (I think)
Go to mesh file in Notepad or simular. (MAKE A BACKUP!)
Go to group number and delete group
Change group total in header of file (-1 or however many you delete)
Save file
N hey-presto! No mounts √
Or, scenario crashes and you re-instate original backed up file.
Easy, init!
If you're adventurous, give it a try.

I gave it a try time ago and unfortunately it does not work. The animations also do not work.
Are you going to make a 2016 version? That would be really nice!

I still have CTD. The only change I made is using System Sol instead of SolSTS but that should not cause any issues AFIAIK

Weird. can you try in regular graphics?

See if you have k-747new.msh in the mesh folder

Better yet: Just go Video>Advanced>Create symbolic links. This will create a symlink between <ORBITERROOT>/Config/Spacecraft and <ORBITERROOT>/Modules/Server/Config.


So then you can just install any SCx.dll vessels like normal and they'll work. This is true for both Orbiter 2010-P1 and Orbiter 2016.

Yes. But not sure what you are asking.

But I can have the 747 with the struts and attach/detach a shuttle. But it looked like it had a extra thing covering the rear of the shuttle.
