I really like the From the Earth to the Moon theme. I would also suggest Moving to Mars by Coldplay. It's epic, majestic, calm and altogether spacey.

EDIT: My particular re-entry song, which I feel is also another good theme, is An End Once and For All, from the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack. I have a few scenarios where the crew of various ships must intentionally re-enter at deadly speeds in order to destroy some sort of virus or device.

Not having the musical talent to compose something myself, I would put in a vote for "hope erye". I forget the artist's name at the moment, but I will look it up tomorrow when I'm not on a restricted network. (dam thing won't let me go to youtube )

I have another piece or two that were meant for "infinity-the quest for earth" which has basically become vaporware, that I will try to upload somehwere and link if I can. (with credit to the author of course.)

Here the theme song is of course translated into Portuguese, but the original French version is also nice.
