Discussion Possible revival of Vespucci?

I'm considering coming out of lurking sometime possibly with a reestablishment of the Vespucci project. I'm thinking about creating the 'E' model with all new code and possibly a new feature set. What do you think?

I only do code so I can't add or change the mesh so no VC for now. UMMU, full sound support and maybe other interesting features could be added along with recreating the original features.

It's about time this old favorite was brought out of mothballs and returned to the fleet.:thumbup:

Ooh, yes please. Vespucci was the first ship that got me out of earth orbit.

Agreed, the Vespucci was one of my favorites for Orbiter '06.

Those links were interesting, many of the ideas were updates I have in mind. I'd also like to add in glass cockpit style controls and possibly a choice of propulsion and refueling systems. Sort of like possible retrofit scenarios.

I have practically all the original files minus my original code and have already started laying down the framework for a new code set. I hope to have a limited beta to show off soon.
