Today I was shocked by one terrible news. THE GREAT John Lord is dead today in age of 71..

He was one of those musicians who inspired me play music. On of the most key charismatic person of Deep Purple. I can't believe. He's gone.
So, what can I say? REST IN PIECE JOHN. IN LOVING MEMORY.

His skills at their best... this organ riff made metal history.

Why?? Why Jon and not Bieber and the other fac-simile musicians?? Why??

Out there...
Genuinely gutting and a sad loss for one of the all-time greatest bands - especially as he was such an intrinsic part of their sound.

I'm sure many others will rock out to his music for a long time to come yet though :headbang:

Edit: Was only watching this the other day and thinking what an awesome bunch of guys they were/are:

I knew he had cancer pretty bad but this still sucks. RIP Jon Lord.

Deeply shocked, didn't know he was ill. One of the few bands I actually used to go out and see.
