General Question Simultaneous Rotation and Translation

I have looked through this forum quite a bit this evening, and haven't yet found a way to do this. What I'm trying to do is use the W,A,S,D,F,V keys for translation input, without having to hit "/", while simultaneously using the flight stick for rotation input. Alternatively, I have also tried setting flight stick buttons to control this, but not successfully. Fly-by-wire doesn't seem to allow anything but axis control, JoyToKeys, doesn't override the "/" Rot/Trans switch, messing around with keymap.cfg also failed to yield success. If you've ever played Elite or Star Citizen you know how intuitive this control scheme can be. Having to hit "/" is just killing my docking performance... So is this actually possible in Orbiter, or do you have to run 2 flight sticks to get around "/" ??
