Here are some images on the attachment issue.
Here the rms is released and the spartan is attached:

I wonder if the 2 - z are the issue?

I redid sts 56

I got a lot of pieces but need help to make the scenarios.

gattispilot

Atlas1. had and extra pallet to the rear.

I got the logo for texture done.

Fun fact: that extra pallet was the same one flown on STS-9.

If I understand the article correctly, a lot of them were the same.

Yes, because there were a limited number of them and they were reusable. The name was Spacelab Logistics Pallet (SLP).

gattispilot

Yes same pallet but different instruments. Trying to find dimensions on the Pallet

I need to retexture. The ATlas03 mesh glows in the dark. Most of my don't. But for this I may use the same material settings.

gattispilot

retextured. Thanks to Marg.

I am going to try to put together launch scenarios.
here is cargo pay view sts 45

STS 72 SFU

I first thought it was 8 sided equally. but it looks like half is equal divided. but the other has 2 sides that are not as long.

Thanks. So I can make the solar panels as vessels and then jettison or just make them disappear.

For this mission we need the SFU, Spartan OAST, There are different EVA things attached to the payload bay

gattispilot

Looking at the SFU. I first thought it is a 8 equal sided shape. But looking at more images. 1/2 of the SFU appears to be equal sided. the other half. the next 2 panels are about 1/2 the size. They are next to the mounts and the side that the rms attaches.

any thoughts on which design to use?

gattispilot

I think this shape looks best.

I need to do the front.

I haven't decided on the solar panels. I can do them by scaling them or adding the panels.

gattispilot

From the real images it looks like the arm for the panels is removed also

gattispilot

I think this is good until solar panels are added.
