Hi All,
For some reason orbithangar doesn't work for me right now but I thought I should kick this new concept off with a thread anyway.

I am embarking on a new line of scenarios for everyone to download, attempt and enjoy.
This first scenario which you can download below is one of many to come entitled "Impossible Mission of Doom". This installment is episode one.

View attachment Impossible Mission of Doom.scn

These missions are more about skill and wit rather then orbit mechanics as so many other "tragedy" scenarios are.

Let me know how you all go and a new mission will be available soon.

Goodluck

P.S.
As always, all the requirements for this scenario are laid out in the description.

Just out of interest, could those who have tried the mission please reply here on their experiences so i can make better missions for the future.

Please rate your experience in terms of:
1) Difficulty from 1 - 10 where 10 is difficult and 1 is easy
2) Excitement from 1 - 10 where 10 is a thrilling mission and 1 is dull and boring
3) Skill Required from 1 - 10 where 10 is "need to be a leet gamer" and 1 is "childs play"
4) Mental Skill Required from 1 - 10 where 10 is "even einstein would have trouble" and 1 is "easy mental maths"

so for example your reply may be:
1) 7
2) 7
3) 10
4) 2

Much appreciated. Your feedback means better missions for the future.

Have fun and please reply with your thoughts!

I needed several tries to find out a good way, I don't want to tell to much so I don't describe how I brought down the rotation. I docked to the fuel container, loaded a bit fuel, undocked and brought the vertical speed to zero to eject in a safe altitude.

I would say:
1)3
2)10
3)4
4)2

5'time was the charm.:)
I docked to the fuel container, loaded a bit fuel, undocked and brought the vertical speed to zero to eject in a safe altitude.

I decided to keep the fuel container. For a while anyway. I used the main engines to slow the descent. Then I flew to KSC in 'tailsitter' mode, undocked the payload, closed the nose cone and landed safely on RWY33.

A walk-around with a difference!

Score? (I'm not very good at that);)
1) 6
2) 8
3) 8
4) 2

Hint:
If you can time it right, you can actually use the spinning ship to your advantage. The spin in a verticle direction, if you EVA at the right time, will give you some much needed verticle velocity to help slow your descent.
