I'm a 18 years old Swedish student, who is about to start studying astrophysics.
I'm new to Orbiter, and felt a bit overwhelmed, the Forums reception was really nice, but it would be very helpful if someone could help me out a bit, where do I start? What things do I NEED before playing Orbiter?

(Im familiar with some orbital maneuvering)
E.g Prograde/Retrograde,Apoapsis/Periapsis, Hoffman transfers, escape manouvers and changing orbital planes.

:welcome: to Orbiter-Forum! A good guide for new pilots is Bruce Irving's Go Play In Space tutorial, which uses the DeltaGlider.

Here and now
You already know more than most new orbinauts - more than I did when I first found Orbiter.

I'll second the recommendation for "Go Play In Space". It will help you understand how to use the knowledge you have and apply it in Orbiter - how to use the MFD's, syncing, etc.

Thanks everyone, I found the sound add-on and all the different MDF's.
I'll start training with the delta glider, then move on to more complex vessels.

Well in my high school, there are only 2 people applying for any kind of physics! There are a lot going for maths though. Astrophysics is probably the most interesting area of physics :)

Seeya around!
