Just trying Nassp v9 in orbiter 2024 why am I getting this there is no graphics just an empty pad?

Need a little more info, which orbiter version and which NASSP version did you install?

You need the x64 version of O24/OO and that means you have to separately install the orbiter textures. You also need our v9 branch of NASSP (which is a WIP branch but will be the main soon) to run with O24/OO x64.

Also I would highly recommend coming to our discord we have links for all of these as well as instructions and settings necessary for a O24/OO/NASSP 9 install.

and where is 64bit version available from ?

Managed to find it thanks, my only issue moving on I'm finding with this version (64bit) is all panel displays in vc mode are only visible when you zoom in close enough otherwise they appear blank? Is there a thread for this issue or does someone have an answer?

We have all this information in our discord.

There are a number of options that need to be enabled for an OO x64 build with NASSP 9. Assuming you have OO x64, the textures, and the correct NASSP branch from my github https://github.com/rcflyinghokie/NASSP/releases Do the following:

  • Launch orbiter and do to the "Modules" tab and activate the "ExtMFD", XRSound", "ProjectApolloMFD" and "ApolloRTCCMFD" modules. Do not use the DX9MFD as it is known to cause crashes.
  • In Options->Visual Settings make sure "local light sources" is enabled, and configure the rest how you wish
  • In Options->Physics Settings I personally leave all enabled except atmospheric wind effects as that will cause issues8) In Video, make sure you select D3D9Client as the graphics engine and then select your GPU, and I encourage using "full screen window"
  • In the advanced settings of video, configure however you wish, but you must have "enable absolute animation handling" checked and texture mipmaps must be set to "load as defined"
  • In Extra->debugging options->orbiter shutdown options, I recommend making it terminate orbiter process to prevent multiple instances of orbiter from launching causing problems
  • Also in Extra, go to vessel configuration->project apollo configuration and at the very least make sure mesh is set to high resolution, FDAI is on smooth scrolling, and on the miscellaneous tab, check multi threading in time acceleration
