    Question AMSO

Speaking of misguided, what tells you I haven't learned IMFD?

    Question AMSO

In the actual mission the explosion took place after the crew made a mid course correction, they were on a free return trajectory until they made the correction and had to get back on that course using the LM descent module engine. Also, Interplanetary MFD is a bit too complicated to be using...

Flight Question DG to Moon Ejection Burn and Midcourse Correction

I haven't used Transfer MFD in a while, it's kind of obsolete in my opinion. I've been using LunarTransfer MFD, it's far simpler than TransX and features an autoburn that orients the spacecraft for critical burns. Sure it took some of the guesswork out of the transfer but in terms of running a...

A Return to the Moon by the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary.

Well, that seems inevitable now. http://www.space.com/27503-china-moon-mission-launch-thursday.html?adbid=10152411371986466&adbpl=fb&adbpr=17610706465&cmpid=514630_20141022_34195677 And I'm not a fan of SpaceX these days, they seem to be more talk than actual results. People have higher...

    I made this "2D Orbiter" at a game jam (also, it's open-source)

Pretty neat! However, have you tried the Interstellar app? The game is very similar.

A Return to the Moon by the Apollo 11 50th Anniversary.

I would like to see a small fire get lit under NASA's rear in regards to getting lunar missions happening again, and I'm even settling for those asteroid redirect missions that will orbit (but not land) on the moon. I also feel that given the more aggressive plans of China we ought to seriously...

Request Any SLS and Orion MPCV in development?

New photo showing the orange core stage: It does appear now that there will be no all white SLS's launching past the tests.

They are indeed contributing to human evolution by self-selecting themselves out of the gene pool by their own actions, so yes they do.

Request Any SLS and Orion MPCV in development?

That is a problem. But in true NASA form I'm sure this could be solved........with DUCT TAPE!

Request Any SLS and Orion MPCV in development?

Looks great. I was thinking about this too. Seeing as the interstage cover on the SLS for the EUS is larger would it be possible for the smaller ICUS and an Altair to fit in that space. You really don't need an upper stage as large as the EUS to get to the moon.

Well, not until AFTER they've squeezed every penny out of their "astronauts" will they get them killed. Dead men can't write checks.

But you gotta admit, it defeats the purpose.

Request Any SLS and Orion MPCV in development?

True, I'm not finding anything definitive about the EUS other than it's under development.
