You start out in the default Delta Glider. This is a fictional star system named starVega. It was from an idea I had that I posted in the Orbiter forum about having other star systems located within the Sol system. Because of the way the game is written, it is actually a planet of the Sol system, only 5000 AU from Earth.
Also the textures for the sun starVega don't shine. Another part of the games limitations related to the sun module. But Sol still illuminates the planets. Or it could be my own limitations as I'm just starting out. If someone can remedy this, please don't hesitate to post it in the forums or email me.
starVega has 4 planets (moons) Gonash, Opius, Spragg and Hoss.
You'll need a fast ship and probably one of the warp drive MFD's to get there in your lifetime.
