My aircraft is made from cardboard so I will need to put it under something in case it rains. The wind can be hard on the air frame if it hits it from the wrong direction so I will need a tent with sides.:)

It will look as good as the XR5 does. The Blending comes back to vertex normals and the way they are pointing. If you separate The geometry after you smooth the vertex normal the seems should be invisible. this is what the model looks like without the Vertex normals smoothed.
