I wonder why the graphics engine doesn't render meshes behind transparent textures (unless in specific circumstances) when it has no problems rendering the terrain. There must be a good reason for it. I'm not a programmer though, so I have no idea where to begin looking for an answer.

Only learned about the solar storm earlier today and only realized it would lead to polar lights like thirty minutes ago. We should have some in Quebec, but right now I don't see anything. I do hope I haven't missed my chance to see them (or worse, that the light pollution of the city will hide...
Oh, I definitively did. A few months ago, I marked spots on the Moon in Google Earth (since it can do the Earth, the Moon and Mars) for future Orbiter bases. I even gave each of them a bit of lore!
Take in mind that all of these bases were created in the mindset that this is the 2200s or...
Unless they were born in 2011, which is a frightening thought because that means someone born in 2011, the year I first played Orbiter, is now old enough to play Orbiter themselves. Way to make me feel oooooold!:cry:
Then again, Martin began development of Orbiter the year I was born. So jokes...
Decided to try it out. Super easy to install and launch! Just need to activate the module in the launchpad and then sync with someone using the MFD and its done! I managed to fly with someone else out of Cape Canaveral. Who that person is though, I have no idea.
