ORBITER-FORUM will be temporarily closed at 2026-07-23 18:00 UTC while we complete some OF maintenance tasks. The amount of downtime is expected to take up to one hour, but probably less.
It's been like this ever since I made the base, and only occurs in that scenario. I think it is an Orbiter 2016-2010 issue. Also, the base is in a crater, and once I am beyond the crater, the base still shows, but black, through the crater.
I have the same problem after I began building my Lunar Spaceport Base. I was trying to do an entire orbit and land back at the base, but Orbiter always crashes at the Day-Night Terminator.
If I recall from my trip during the summer where I basically downloaded every single MFD from Orbit Hangar, there was a calculator utility that can be accessed in-game like scenario editer that looked similar to the windows xp calculator. I don't recall the name, but it had the Windows XP Olive...
Few more questions. I plan on making a rectangular sign, what size should the texture be? Is the square texture enough?
Also, since I have more than 9 pads, the pad numbers on the pad aren't showing properly. Is there a way to make new pad textures or possibly hide the pad number?
This seems...
Wow! That put's my Lunar Base to Shame  I like it very much.
Do you know what size I should make the logo and custom textures? Also, how do you think I should make night-time textures? Increase the colour brightness?
I am planning on putting the finishing touches on the Arrivals/Departure Terminal and Will start working on the rest of the spaceport, the space hotel, and the train system. Also, if I recall, the base is somewhat close to Pappy's HoneyMoon Base, so that is a great destination! I am taking...
Wait you can move blocks up and down! That's very very helpful! I never knew that, and it severely hindered my creativity. I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply, I have been loaded with tests and work at school.
I see, maybe I can resize my image to a lower size? Because I recall that one of the old 2006 ReFuel lunar base used a block structure with custom textures for a nice billboard thing.
Here is the base file, I am...
Yes, that is what the hangars are for next to the pad, and the little extension from the circular building is supposed to be the soft-docking jetway bridge.
Yes! but with the block object in Orbiter and with custom textures. Also, maybe signs for different hangars, gates, fuel towers, lat/long, and a sign that shows the name of the spaceport.
Yeah, I plan on just making the entire base just sit on top of a rectangle. Is it possible to add a "dirt" Runway using a slightly higher elevation than the around ground using this method? I might such dirt runway for the moon base, just for laughs or experimentation.
I think the Solar Plant can wait until the building is complete.
I am just wondering how I can make custom signs for different gates/pads/buildings/etc.
How would I make those textures? I can use Paint.net, but is there a specific method I have to use?
Also, the textures don't come up on...
I have been busy with school, so I wasn't able to work on it currently.
I plan on adding a separate cargo terminal for the big XR5 cargo freighters , and some custom signs.
Do you know how to make these custom signs? How would I make the custom textures?
