Thank you for your detailed answer! Very much appreciated. Looking forward to a future release, whenever you find the time. Thank you for your efforts, I really like your detailed elelvation maps of the landing sites!
Just a sidenote for this nice add-on. In order to land at the historically accurate position on the lunar surface, make sure your (AMSO) bases (Tranquility, Frau Mauro,...) have the correct LAT/LON in their config files! The meshes appear to be placed very precisely at their correct location...
ggalfi, so I installed everything into a new Orbiter Beta and I absolutely love your terrain works! Now John and Charlie are loading up the LRV for their first trip at the Highlands of Descartes! :)
I am very much looking forward to the Taurus-Littrow elevation textures, I hope you will do...
Excellent work ggalfi!
I just tried it and for some reason, my terrain seems to be enlarged on the z-axis (vertically) by a factor of maybe two or three? Not sure what I did wrong, just installed the files as mentioned in the doc.
Here's some screenshots, the elevation of the surrounding look...
Very nicely done add-on! Does this ISS have any exterior lights that can be activated so we can see the station like during nighttime EVA's? And is there an EVA astronaut with headlights available?
Hello all,
I'd like to use Jarmonik's nice micro texture addon in orbiter 2016 with the D3D9 client, however only for the highest resolution level on the moon, namely the D3D9Moon_A and/or with D3D9MoonB textures without the other ones ( D3D9Moon_C and D3D9Moon_C2 ) so that I have only a micro...
Where can I get these darker AMSO LM cabin textures?
----
Gene and Jack sampling during EVA-2 at station 2 near Nansen crater at the foot of the South Massif.
Hi jarmonik! Just wanted to say the Earth and Moon now looks amazing with your graphics client. I love the vessel self-shadowing and reflective surfaces and the shadow of the LM on the lunar surface during approach...gorgeous! I did a new global moon texture without shadows so that these are...
I created a new Moon texture derived from the Moon CGI kit. I always wanted a surface texture with the shadows only "created" by the terrain and actual local sun angle instead of having fixed shadows with a sun in the west for the whole globe. You can find it at orbithangar.
A global Moon surface texture for use in Orbiter (2016) without "fixed" shadows and in color derived from the CGI Moon kit released in 2019.
The standard moon surface texture in Orbiter uses a high resolution global map with a sun at a western azimuth. While it has a very high resolution, it...
Heey everyone!
it's been a while!
Tonight, I made an interesting observation. When I stepped outside the door to take out some trash a looked up into the beautiful clear dusk/night sky here in southwestern Germany just half an hour ago at around 9 p.m. local time (UTC + 2hrs).
I accidentally...
