ORBITER-FORUM will be temporarily closed at 2026-07-23 18:00 UTC while we complete some OF maintenance tasks. The amount of downtime is expected to take up to one hour, but probably less.
Indeed, for now I take notes ofthe joints angles to do that.
Also, I did a quick reentry just a few moments ago, I noticed an issue that was also happening with this version of SSU.
When we're on final after the HAC, the Shuttle lose all its speed, even with the spoiler retracted, it barely...
Ohh nice, can't wait to see more then :)
And yes, automatic sequences for the RMS woulbe a huge plus (like with the SSRMS addon for the ISS ?). I often have a hard time putting the OBSS back into place because of the 3 points that need to be very precise to accept the attachment.
I gave it a...
Whoohoo, I can say I'm a happy man! Great work GLS, time to go to orbit (again hahaha)
What can we expect for the future of SSV ? I'd love to see more OPS/SPEC/SM/PL pages, as well as some failures simulated.
I'll give it a deeper test later when I'm free, but whoohoo long live the Space...
Hello, been a long time here ! I would like to share with you my latest video on Orbiter :)
Enjoy !
@soumya-8974 (use this to record your screen, it's what I use, very easy to use: https://obsproject.com/)
My turn my turn !!!
This was the recording of my last mission, landing at the SLF runway 15. I added the footage of the STS-131 mission.
I was too lazy to find a mission where they landed on the 15, so instead you'll hear runway 33 lol
To get that level of zoom, I used this addon
Enjoy :)
Hello fellow SSU pilot haha !
Hi, if you want, you can use the SCN I made for my fictionnal mission here: LRL-MAS-PRO.zip.
You will need these 3 addons to make it work:US ISS Ato Z v3
International Space Station v3.2
Soyuz FG/U v1.2
Hey there, long time no see.
After the lockdown I was eager to get back to Orbiter !
Here's my "few" screeshots of my last flight.
MECO and ET separation
Some RMS operation
Approaching the ISS
Below the Cupola, ready for the RPM
Only a few meters away
Docked
Undocking with a view...
Yes I know, that's why I said it's not realistic but gets the job done too.
At least for the beginners (like me) they are safe on the ground.
Because we don't have a TIG and PEG given by BaseSync, so we need another "approach" wich works for me :)
(edited)
Hi, if I can be of help, here's how I do it with BaseSync MFD for the Deorbit burn.
Deorbit burn preparations
With OPS201 I tell the Shuttle orbiter to be in retrograde (+ or - 15 degrees for the SSMEs):
ITEM14+5 (body reference)
ITEM15+75 (90° for retrograde position minus 15° for SSMEs)...
Hi guys, it's been a while.
i had bit of a free time and seriously started to learn the AGC and the capsule layout for NASSP.
And I finally managed to launch a Saturn V rocket (here Apollo 7) with the 4 hours long pre-flight preparations and MCC.
I start to enjoy its complexity, even if I still...
Yes her name is "Massilia", it's the name of the virtual fighter squadron I'm part of "51st Massilla" on Falcon BMS and DCS World.
We decided to have our own shuttles for the scenarios we're doing.
Massilia is latin for the city of Marseille in the southern of France (HQ city of our squadron)...
My last launch from last week
I did 3 orbits at 28.45° and back at real speed and real time :)
Kind of remind me of my long haul flights in Flight Simulator ^^
Hi, I'm back for some Orbiter now that I have a new computer :)
I wanted to use this addon again and I'm glad there's a final version !
When I press K to have the popup window to enter the launch MJD date, nothing appears ? Can you confirm this ?
