2D Panel Operating at 1FPS... Help!

Success! After a half-hour searching the M6 "archive" I found a post by JawsII describing (and eventually solving) my exact problem. Simply change the settings on the nVidia graphics card, turning OFF antialiasing and antistropic filtering. Thanks for the lead, tomek! BTW the only thing...

2D Panel Operating at 1FPS... Help!

All of a sudden, I find that my 2D panel views have the "slows". My display behaves normally in 3D view and in Orbiter normal no-panel views. In 2D it jerks from frame to frame. This happens in the stock Delta gliders and NASSP - apparently any ship with a 2D panel. Has anyone else experienced...

    My Thoughts on AMSO 1.17.

EXCELLENT! It's hard to keep up.

    My Thoughts on AMSO 1.17.

Having done and addon or two myself I can attest that it is easier giving critiques for other's work than it is receiving them for your own. Compliments and download numbers are the only "pay" we get for our efforts. Feedback is good and critism is ok, if given in the correct spirit. I think...

    AMSO manual landings

Gimp, I feel your pain! I have a hard time knowing which way I am pitched and how far. The white info bar only tells you if you are moving forward, and how fast. I actually find landing easier from an exterior view. Another trick is to hit the L key to level up LM - then you at least know...

    Astronaut

You don't need to be a pilot, as noted above in the Ursus post. Concentrating on flight training may actually reduce your chances of getting into orbit - a Shuttle flight may have half-a-dozen mission specialists, or more, but it really needs only two pilots. It might be wise to hedge your...

    New Spaceplane Project

How big is this thing? Will it fit on any known Orbiter runway? Or is this a late 21st century version of building a boat in the basement:lol: I look forward to launching and landing all these planes in a single mission. I am reinforcing my CTRL-F3 keys in anticipation. BTW, Greg, thanks...

    Two questions regarding two addons.

I apologize for the slow responses. I have done some quick comparisons between X-15 and Space Shuttle (Shuttle Fleet) and I now get your point. The problem may reflect some limitations with Spacecraft3 vs. the Shuttle's custom DLL. Although I have grown wary of "blaming" SC3 for some quirk...

    Two questions regarding two addons.

It is true that turning the X-15 causes a lot of drag and loss of lift. I can not say how acurate the add-on performace is, but it does a pretty good job of replicating the typical landing pattern shown on page 2-9 of our manual. This illustration is reproduced from the actual 1962 X-15 Flight...

    Saturn Ib?

I know Sputnik was working on something he called Velcro Rockets. I believe it will include a wide range of historical boosters, including the entire Saturn family, with a fairly easy way of mounting payloads. (I am looking forward to adding a launch scenario to Skylab, if he ever gets Velcro...

    Orbit Hangar Mods new Layout

I sent an e-mail to Greg Burch when I couldn't get onto M6 for about a week. He recommended this forum. (Although I don't think he is a registered user yet!) Makes me wonder how many old M6 users are still drifting around, Forum-less - poor lost souls:( I wonder if you might consider adding a...

    Project X-15 V2 problem

I believe you need to install ProjectX-15 v2.0 first, then Edwards High Range, then X-15 Delta, in that order. Let me know if that fixes you up.

    Project X-15 V2 problem

You must download and install BOTH ProjectX-15 v2.0 and ProjectX-15 Edwards and High Range. (The description on Orbit Hangar for ProjectX-15 v2.0 mentions this requirement.) Sol_ProjectX-15.cfg is contained in Edwards and High Range. Good luck and happy flying.

    Orbit Hangar Mods new Layout

Hmmm... Related sites does NOT include a link to Orbiter-Forum.com  (Oops) The layout is great. The "dark" theme has a sharper look, but the "light" theme is easier on the eyes. Sounds like we will have a choice, though, so that will take care of that. "Retro" is all the rage these days -...

    Orbit Hangar Mods

I have said it several times, but it always bears repeating: Orbit Hangar is a vital part of the Orbiter community and Vash is a prince beyond compare! As for backing up Orbit Hangar, is it really possible that addon developers don't keep copies of their own work? I would hope that most of...

    Whats up with AMSO

Check the add-on threads in this forum. AMSO v1.17 has been released. It will be interesting to see how various Orbiter fourms evolve. The collapse of M6 has opened up a particular nitche in the Orbiter-chat environment. But I doubt that any of the one-addon forums will fill it. What's needed...

    Project X-15

Glad you like it! (I am kind of partial to it myself ;) ) Greg Burch did all the meshes and was the lead instigator - if your find anything wrong, blame him! I will be happy to answer any questions - although Pilot7893 may have to provide just a little more detail  . A few months...

Just fell off the turnip wagon.

Perfect! I will print this out and save it. (I do this signature edititing so rarely it's easy to forget how its done.) I rather like the fact that help arrived in less than 12 hours from a total stranger on the opposite side of the planet - ain't the "internets" a wonder?
