How close to Mars are you looking? I notice that in Orbiter 2010 at least, you need to get close to the planet before it switches to the higher resolution texture. So zoom in and see if it switches at all. You won't notice it if you can see the whole planet in the view. In my case, I was zoomed...

The Ravenstar seems to have an enormous turning radius.. such that it's impossible to taxi around any airports or park it without multiple corrections. Is there an ini setting that I can change to make it more maneuverable on the ground?
