Howdy SpaceEagle. Im glad there is still interest in hte GEP addons. I have also been away for a very long time (but keep an eye on orbithangar, etc.)
I just wanted to clarify, so that credit goes where credit is due, but the original meshes were by Jack Higgins of the Celestia community. I...
Not a problem. I appreciate the message and am happily excecuting an STS-61 mission! Its been great fun. I really like the way you have put together the payload and EVA handling. Fantastic addon.
I couldnt get the addon to run and was able to fix it by installing VC++ redistributable package. Might help others.
My support request post and resolution is here:

Might be worth adding to requirements for the install...
I fixed my own problem by running VC++ redistributable package install on windows, apparently installed the dlls I was missing (the msvcrtd.dll wasnt one of them, not sure what it was).

Anyone who had the same trouble I had can do...
Trying to run the HST_ex addon and im getting a vessel load problem on the scenarios that is a lot like the problem you get when you dont have the msvcrtd.dll.
The only scenario that loads is STS-31, but the hubble doesnt load with it. The others crash on startup.
My error log is below. Im...
@ Thorton
Thanks for the fast help. Fixed it right up. I hadnt been lurking general threads enough to realize a patch had been released on the 30th.
Again thanks
Im looking forward to using this version of ISS but I cant get scenarios to load. I get the vessel cpp problem and I tried to fix it as the manual says by loading net framework 3.5 to no avail.
I installed all components described as required by the manual. My meshes and modules seemed to be...
Howdy,
Loaded up the new ISS into 2010. Ive installed the Proton, Shuttle Fleet 4.5 and patch, and the Soyuz by thornton. Everything listed in the pdf as required except optionals for "better experience"
The only thing I dont have is UMMU, but I load Fleet 4.5 scenarios and those load up ok...
No worries. Its a good suggestion. I wish i knew the source so I wouldnt get into trouble for using it (is it spacefacts.de?) because they feature the likely crews for those flights.
Thanks Star Voyager. That patch is a nice idea but I dont know who the rights belong to for it. I also like having a patch without names so that whoever uses this fictional mission can imagine whoever they want for the crew.
TransX should work fine, the scenarios just have the setup for the other MDFs ready to go.
Good luck with Surveyor VII

I also can make a general note. I just saw LOLA MFD was updated for 2010. One should be...
Its been a little over a year since I had time to hang around. Ive got a new release and just curious how everyone is doing. Nice to see the newer features of the forum including social groups. Saw a lot of recognizable screen names in the Apollo group. Hope everyone is doing well.
Sorry abishekgopal, Ive been away for about 1 year. That absence has probably been too long to give any advice in the timescale you needed, but I will try to answer your question. I dont think that its too much of a jump for you to do that (if you havent yet). I started with Bates Mueller and...
Fly Apollo 20 to the North Rim of Tycho in 1974. This is a J-Series mission carrying Lunar Rover and Sim bay. Visit lunar highlands, a lava lake, and Surveyor VII.
Scenarios and landing terrain included as a new surface base. Based on Lunar Orbiter V photos.
Detailed instructions included...
I may have a copy somewhere. I think Rodion made it, you might ask him if I cant find it.
I have tons of orbiter items backed up from 2002 onwards (not all but a lot).
Ill dig and let ya know.
To answer, the image of the bay was a panorama combination of a couple of NASA photos taken on flight day 2 (maybe at nasaspaceflight, dont remember where I got it), but the source images are NASA standard from FD2.
As far as UT goes, they have a similar program.
Inside that launcher in the...
To Ryan: yes just walk up to the AMSO LM and hit J to extract the equipment.
To Matte: ill take a look at textures and upload a fix before tomorrows scheduled lunar EVA ;)
To Rodion: thanks for the wave :) I miss working on this stuff. Its been a couple years because of school, but I sure do...
Im currently studying just that at Texas A&M university. It ranks in the top ten in Graduate programs and has excellent hands on programs.
(Beware, shameless plug below, but in all honesty I have a blast and am learning an amazing amount of astrodynamics and hands on, practical, no BS...
