Never mind....I figured it out. Was loading the "current state" scenario rather than actually selecting a scenario. It now works perfectly and looks great. Thanks! :)

Hmmm....well, that's definitely an improvement....now I have all kinds of D3D9 options and I can get to the loading screen in high-res 4K. But after it loads the Neptune cfg file, I get a sudden CTD.

Sigh....that's probably exactly what it is. It's been about oh, maybe 15 years since I last played with Orbiter. I guess I need to go RTFM about firing up the D3D9 client. Thanks :)

Hmmmm.....odd. I'm narrowing down what's happening at least. So, I can play fine in windowed mode up to any resolution (I have a 4K TV I'm using as a monitor). If I try to play full-screen, I can only play up to around 1080p resolution; anything higher than that, and I get the "hardware device...

I just bought a brand new top-o-the-line CyberPower PC, with an nVIDIA 2070 Super video card, created a C:\Orbiter folder, installed DirectX and the vcrdist in the install folder, as well as the D3D9 graphics client, went into the settings and picked out some appropriate settings, and then tried...

So, are folks still enjoying the show? I'm up to episode 45. WOW. The last few episodes have been......absolutely gripping. I never cease to be amazed how compelling and poignant this show can be!

I've just made it to episode 15. Ughh...the new opening theme sequence is HORRIBLE. What's with the dancing??? The first opening theme was SO cool--great song, great visuals...this new one is terrible. I cheated and checked on YouTube...thank goodness it looks like this new opening is...

Well, that's odd....this morning it seems to be working normally. Very strange....it was nowhere to be found on Google for several hours last night when I looked. Bizarre! Oh well--glad it's "back in Google's good graces" ;)
