    Project Boeing 747 Development Thread

Yes, just need an attachment point to hang the mount and LauncherOne off. I had fun flying the Stargazer/Pegasus launches, and it'd be nice to fly the 747 out of Newquay. I don't know much about LauncherOne - it had a couple of successes I think. Anyhow, the 747 looks great (y)

    OHM Falcon9 for Orbiter2016

Hi, SLC40 is working as usual for me. EDIT ************************************************************** Oh...wait a moment....there might be a mesh error on the new "crew tower" at SLC40. "Isolated vertices" in the mesh can cause random problems. It might be that. Back soon. EDIT2 Had a...

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

This is a strange bug. I tracked it down to the "EDL_Capsule" Status (Landed/Orbiting) not being updated during launch until detached from the launcher. Everything else (Dragonfly lander, Star48, etc.) seems fine. And it doesn't happen if you use the Falcon9/Heavy. I couldn't even stop the...

    OHM Falcon9 for Orbiter2016

Yes. Enter the required inclination as negative, it should use the southerly launch azimuth. Brian

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

Thanks for testing. I'll look at the code again. It "should" be simple. Ha.

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

Ah! Very nice. I was wondering how the VC6L would perform. I did give it one try but was distracted by the same bug you mention - reentry particle stream during ascent. The custom reentry stream should only be activated once the EDL_Capsule is jettisoned(for this very reason), so not sure what...

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

For the orange sky you probably just need the Titan.cfg and Cloud.tree. Give em a try.

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

I'm using default Orbiter graphics and the Titan Hi-Res package (inc. the Titan.cfg) here: http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/mirrors/orbiter_radio/tex_mirror.html#titan

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

If so, they can go with an expendable Falcon9+Star48. I see the post on NSF estimates launch mass to be 100kg less than mine, so maybe I'm not too far off on my guess. I must see how it fares on a Vulcan or AtlasV, also.

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

I just had a try at going direct to Saturn on the FalconHeavy - turns out you can do it with the FalconHeavy fully recoverable + Star48BV, launch date 02 July 2028, using IMFD for planning. 655kg propellant left in the Falcon upper stage. Maybe my guess of 1600kg all-up mass for TitanDragonfly...

    OHM Titan Dragonfly

I just saw some discussion on NSF that they might use an expendable FalconHeavy+Star48 to go direct to Titan, launching July 2028 - ZOOM! Must give it a try.

    OHM Nova-C Lunar Lander

Nova-C "Odysseus" landed succesfully (apparently not so succesful after all, still alive though) There seemed to be some communications trouble at first but looks like they sorted that out. I'm still waiting to see the pics from EagleCam! EDIT: No pics from EagleCam then :-(
