Nothing unusual. Simple pace difference. Hamilton lead the first few laps, Verstappen was quicker and overtook him. HAM never really had a chance to get P1 back. Red Bull was quicker than Mercedes on race pace, it's as simple as that. Difficult to tell how fast Ferrari truly was today, but they were about as quick as Red Bull.
In an incident free race weekend we could have had a VET, VER, RAI podium today. Or any combination of Vettel, Räikönnen, Verstappen, Hamilton, Ricciardo really. Bottas was clearly off pace. Too bad Ferrari had so much trouble this weekend.

I was surprised at the Red Bull's pace and the lack of balance for the Silver Arrows. I think Vettel demonstrated the Ferrari's have pace but, for this weekend, not reliability. The Red Bull's performance may bode well for McLaren (with the Renault power unit) next year, not so much for Toro Rosso when they get Honda power.

HAM was complaining about power "derates" at the start of the race, but I think he just knew he could not hang with Max's Red Bull today. Probably put it in super-econ mode, out of Max's air turbulence, and cruised round for the race.
Seb had a barnstorming race from the back to 4th. Nice strategy starting on softs and then able to compete on super-softs for the closing segment. I though he would have done another 5-8 laps on the softs, and tried to overcut a few places then ride the super's harder to the finish.
Seb's cool-down incident with Stroll was just mad. 50% 50% blame I think, but it ended up ripping the whole rear left of the car from Vettel. If that's a gearbox problem, then it'll wreck his next race in Japan next weekend as well. Just wrapped up a forgettable weekend for the boys in red ... from Seb's Q1 failure to RAI's non-start, to this accident... a series of disasters for them.
