Hello folks,
I am looking for astrophysical data books about stars and planets. Does anyone have any recommendations about books or others? That's why I need some temperature, period, radius, etc.. each spectral and subclass.
I have a copy of Hipparcos and Tycho star catalogue files but they do not have star radius. I researched and found some radius determination by using temperature and luminosity. its formula is:
R/Rs = (Ts/T)^2 (L/Ls)^1/2 => R = (Ts/T)^2 (L/Ls)^1/2 Rs
Ok, I now have a few questions for you about spectral class. I noticed weird spectral class like M4.5. Why did it uses decimal for more accurate then whole subclass number? I searched for it and found some. They do not have some info about exotic spectral classes like M4.5, S5,8 etc...
Thanks!
