General Question Auto FCS & Custom Bases

Hi All,

I recently downloaded the fantastic Orbiter Base Maker 2010 and went about making a few bases.

I included their name and coordinates into the Earth.cfg file and when I run orbiter the base appears in Auto FCS. However, when selected it does not seem to register (neither the distance or cross range changes and remains for the last selected landing site).

The bases are at a high lattitude (55 degress).

Can anyone help me work out what is wrong?

Exactly same problem.. My base is Capo Passero (39° latitude).

The strange thing is Cssc (Carl Sagen Space Centre) works fine and I can't figure out what it has in its cfg that mine doesnt!!!

I also get another issue when I list my base in the Earth.cfg, orbiter crashes when i try to change the location of any vehicle in scenario editor.

It is as if there is something 'missing' in the base cfg file.

Anyone have any idea?

Did you try the following for Prestwick.cfg?

"Then MOVE the canaveral.cfg and edwards.cfg from the \config\earth\base directory to the main config directory.
Third modify both the Canaveral.cfg and the Edwards.cfg file so that the LOCATION line is commented out. (Location is now set by the earth.cfg file) Like so:"

The only thing I see that's different from CSSC and your base, is CSSC has "MapObjectsToSphere = TRUE". It would be odd if that made a difference though.

It wouldn't hurt to add that line anyway.

You could also try to reduce the precision of the location from:
Location = -4.586620 +55.511600
To
Location = -4.587 +55.512

Don't know did you just copy past here if so there is a possible bug in program.

I find a extra space for example:

One space before line,let letter start right away from beginning of line.
