Dear all,

When flying the Atlantis Space Shuttle as an ordinary plane (i.e. in Earth's atmosphere) I find it hard to make control inputs to the control surfaces (ailerons, elevator, rudder) using the numeric keypad. That is because e.g. if I press num2 (pitch up) the elevators deflect all the way up, and go back to neutral as soon as num2 is released. As a result, the shuttle makes increasingly violent pitching movements (same for rolling and yawing manoeuvres).

Is there a way to have the control surfaces move as long as their related key is pressed, and locked in the position they're in when that key is released? Ideally, there should also be a key (typically num5) to put them all back in their neutral position. Microsoft FlightSimulator works that way, and it works perfectly.

PS1: I don't want to use a joystick, so it should not be part of your solution

Thanks in advance
