Hey, I am just getting into developing using spacecraft3.dll. I have created my 3ds file converted to .msh format fine and opened in meshwizard. What I am stuck at is the fact that there is only one group, Group 0. From what I have gathered I need to have my landing gear in seperate groups from the fuselage etc to have the gear animations to work. I havent been able to find much documentation on this, any help would be much appreciated!!

Regards Ben

Unfortunately, IDK if meshwizard can do that, but If you have the original model, use anim8or.

you know how to colour individual triangles in anim8or, don't you? good.

make a material in anim8or with any colour (doesn't matter). then apply the material to the triangles of the mesh that you want to group.

convert to mesh and bob's your uncle.

thanks, at the moment I am creating my models in solid edge exporting it in 3ds and only opening and re exporting in anim8or as this is the only way I can get a 3ds file that will correctly convert to .msh format. So I havent used anim8or as of yet, but great to know that it can be done
