I doubt the ESC with their expectation of playing the instruments playback really let him play out his strengths, but its at least a courageous choice by the UK.

A quick scroll through, I think whoever Kanga-Roo is, they are in the the best ESC tradition.

I worked in broadcast tv and always admired their productions. Use to wonder if they had multiple vision-mixers(human type) then found out they use
