A module to add basic UMMU and UCGO support to station vessels which do not have their own modules.  Examples are the default Mir and Wheel stations as well as Greg Burch's Building Blocks Hab modules.

UPDATE:  Clap your hands and phone the family... I finally got around to building in support for multiple exit positions per vessel.  Now your vessels can have as many as 4 exit positions, each with its own action area and camera view.  Old config and scenario files will still work as is.  See the examples for how to add more exit positions.

The older module for Orbiter 2006p1 can still be found here.

This is a great add on for a newbie like me, with it i can build lots of stuff like landers, stations, anything i can find a mesh for really and all with UMMU and UCGO! Thank you.

Is there a way to remove the need to select individual cargo slots for grapple and jettison?

Hi, ThaGuy.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you find the module useful.

Hmm... perhaps I misunderstand what you're looking for; but, without selecting the cargo bay to use for grapple/release there is no way to discern which piece of cargo the user intends to manipulate. A system which simply used the next available cargo slot would not allow the user to release arbitrary pieces of cargo.

So I can't think of a useful way to implement what you're asking for; but, again, I may misunderstand what you're looking for. If so, just set me straight and we'll see what we can do. :)

You understand me correctly, most of the time i like to the way it works. i just have a little trouble transferring bulk loads from one vessel to another.. ie. from an IPV to lander without having to run down the odd cargo. Its me not being fast on the buttons) If it was something i could do myself i would use it on a very few specialised containers, certainly not worth any work. I assumed i was missing some simple line in UCGO

Thanks again

UPDATE

You asked for it...
I had some unexpected time off from work...
I had some very nice folks remind me that the module still only supported one exit position per vessel.

So...

Now each vessel may have as many as 4 distinct exit positions, each with its own action area and camera view. The new file is ready for download at OrbitHangar as usual. Old config and scenario files will still work just fine.
