So I'm a returning user (to Orbiter, not the forums). Discovered orbiter about 2 years ago, just got into it, and then decided to make the switch to linux. But recent changes (marriage) have led one of my computers to become windows again...so I'm back with orbiter.
I'm still working on the basic skills, but one thing I've always had an interest in is "near-future" type solar travel, such as VASMIR-based propulsion. It seems an interesting model to me - instead of "simple" delta-V calculations, you also have to balance exhaust velocity with acceleration (and potentially reactor mass as well).
Obviously, I'm not read for that yet, but hope to be soon. Which brings up the Q - anyone got a VASMIR ship (or mod that makes something act like VASMIR)?
