In flight sound & Launchpad

2 questions !

1. How do you communicate or recieve communications from KSC or Houston? There seems to be little radio chatter and I was wondering if there is a way to bump it up? I get the lift-off and pre orbit but the radio chatter in space is like every 20 minutes?

2. The launchpad that I have for 39A 39B is VERY standard. The hump that the pad sits on is just plain brown and the structure that holds the shuttle up looks like it came off an atari game (not to offend anyone). In the pictures in the galleries everyone has these high detail pads is there a pad I can get to help this? Will it affect were my delta glider takes off from?

1.Radio chatter is just to add the feeling that Orbiter universe is not dead. Not really an interactive radio chatter.
2.Pads are available as addons. www.avsim.com and www.orbithangar.com could be good places to start looking.

You can change how often the sound will play when you are far away from a planet with SoundConfig.exe in the orbiter folder. I think the default is 20 minutes when you are more than 250 k from a planet.

Hmmmmm. As far as Launchpad textures what do you guys reccommend?

1. Kev Shanow's Launchpad ? (where do you download this)?

2. Hi-res Kennedy Space Center by: kukanotas?

Im just looking for good textures to the launch pad and structure itself.
