Apparently not a very nice guy generally.

Much of the list in that link is subjective, especially the parts about his ability as a musician and song writer. I personally think he was quite talented. But being talented and being a jerk are not mutually exclusive. In any case I like most of the Beatles' music; I'm not too interested in their personal lives.
