It looks like a few rock pebbles fall on top of Curiosity, but far less than I thought.
And that was one of my concerns...a pebble flying of the surface at high speed, severing a wire or something vital.
A can with compressed air would came in handy here.:)
One thing I miss is the atmospheric conditions where Curiosity landed.
The temperature, wind and barometric conditions that is.

Doubtful, since there are many more gray spots on Mars. But there are changes in the texture caused by smaller rocks blown away from the landing site. Also the pale white rocks could be caused by exhaust eroding them.

Those are indeed marks made by the exhaust plumes. The light colour may be from contamination, but that has yet to be established (if I understood the news conference correctly).

There are blast marks around MSL and a lot more around where the skycrane crashed.

Huh, that almost looks like a road or trail leading up the crater wall.

Wow, so true! I wonder if it's a dry stream bed.

These photos are so amazing, it looks like places I have personally hiked here on Earth!

It look so surreal. To think about it, the atmosphere is only 1/100 of that of Earth, yet it look so "Earth like".
Maybe that is one of the reasons they did not include a microphone for MSL, it won't pick up anything.
