I'd like to request someone look into doing addons, for the 1969 Hammer film 'Moon Zero Two', boasting a script part written by thriller writer Gavin Lyall, the film suffered from focus on quasi-comedy to the detriment of the action based storyline.

The full film can be found on YouTube. It's major location 'Moon City' is located at Tranquility Base, the 'Eagle' has been removed and replaced with a rather nice memorial to the First Men on the Moon.

A review of the novelization by James Burke gives some idea of what the film could have been.

A review of the film itself can be read at the link below.

Later: Here are some screenshots from the film showing surface settlements... And some showing the 'Moon Bugs' used for surface travel outside the major settlements.

I remember watching that movie as a kid... Off to find a good copy to download!
P.S. An Orbiter Mod for that show would be great!

A fan page for the film which includes pictures of models that were cut from the film prior to it's release.

Made back in 1969 by the British horror specialists Hammer, this was their attempt to cash in on the publics new interest in space travel caused by the Apollo Moon landings. The film starred James Olson as a maverick space pilot caught up in murder and the illegal plans to crash-land an asteroid on the far side of the Moon. It was directed by Sir Roy Ward Baker and featured some excellent special effects by the renowned Les Bowie. However its hard to tell if the film was trying to be serious or is actually a spoof, especially after the opening three minute cartoon credit sequence featuring fighting astronauts!
