General Question Multplayer Option.

This has probably been asked before so I apologise if that is so.

Having created multiplayer games from stand alone games I am aware of the problems. I am also aware that it is really not that difficult once you put your mind to it.

Are there, any future plans to make Orbiter a multiplayer platform ?

For which there is currently a server running. Essentially, you can play Orbiter multiplayer right now if you want. If you're experienced and want to help out, Face could use it. Remember, search is your best friend :thumbup:

We started testing OMP during the first days of 2011 and did stuff like this

But now we're doing orbital ops and interstellar trips with space traffic control over teamspeak :3 The Top Gun thing is just to get everyone loosened up and hone some basic flying skills before progressing to formation flight in orbit.

So there are a bunch of guys here who will gladly help you out with any issues with setup and getting OMP running.

The level of flight realism is of course decided upon by the mission commander of the day but as OMP doesn't support stacks or fancy effects yet, test OMP with the XR2s and 5s first.

There is no time acceleration implemented on the server, so sometimes we take fast ships out and have a race to Mars or something. Oh and hold secret meetings on the dark side of the Moon.
