Hello you all..

I'm trying out the ORBTGT_MFD Version 1.0 by flying the totorial 'Rendezvous with ISS'.

The problem i have, is that when i want to look at the burn from external view the burn is not performed.

I made sure that i followed the tutorial through the "Item 27" an 'Execute' when it flashes.

When i stay in the 2D (F1) Cockpit, everything works fine and the burn is done.
But if i am in another view, when the Timer hits zero....there is no burn.

Anyone who has a clue ???

Thanks allready :tiphat:

I've seen this behavior too, not only with this MFD but also with IMFD and LTMFD (IIRC).
I'm not sure why it does that though, since I'm not a/the developer.

It has nothing to do with your installation as far as I know.

I don't know the MFD you're talking about, but it sounds like the problem is that the autopilot is in the Update class, not in clbkPreStep/clbkPostStep.
That means that the MFD is only used and updated while the MFD is open, instead of being updated every frame which Orbiter runs.
This can easily be fixed if you have the source code of the add on. If not, you can try to have the MFD open in an External MFD. Then the autopilot should work as long as you not close the MFD.

Thanks for thinking with me.

De sourcecode should allow it because the tutorial of "ORBTGT_MFD" even gives instructions to do so.
Used exterial MFD but then i can't enter Data.

With Shuttlefleet 4.8 and ORBTGT_MFD it would be nice to see how the (only left) OMS burn is is corrected by the RMS.(tutorial remark).

Maybe an other way to see it, is by recording and replay...but i didn't use that option yet.

Would be nice to see the Burns real time though !!:jiggy:

So if there are other options....please let me know.

Have you removed the mouse from the External MFD? If I remember correctly, you can't hover the pointer over an external MFD if you want to type into input boxes.

Yeah I saw this behaviour myself. Just a quirk you have to work around. You might have better chance getting the author of the MFD to see this if you posted over on dansteph's forum.

That IS the option: don't know why you have problems entering the data in the MFD even if it is in "external MFD mode" (I have no issues doing it).
Once you feed the external MFD with all the data and press EXEC when prompted the burn should be triggered as expected

Oké

with the external MFD I get the data bar, but when i type in letters or numbers, the data bar stays empty.
when i klick on the screen (trying to activate ) the bar disapears.

But i will take a breath..for now...and use ORBTGT in 2D cockpit to enjoy the rendevoux and don't switch views.
The eyecandy is for a later time i suppose.

Greetz.

You just have to move your pointer outside the External MFD window. No clicking required. Then you should be able to type into the boxes.
