Salam, brothers and sisters!

Thats why I am here. First, all these have been disclosed in a biography about Dr. Qian Xuesen, the father of modern astronautics several years ago. Simply use baidu for more. All related to Project 714.

Conclusion: try to improve your command in Mandarin. Mandarin has more than 1000 million native speakers. This large no. of speakers made this language as the most spoken language in the world. If we talk about the percentage total then, in the whole world population, 14.1% people speak Mandarin.

No need, my phone translated the pages automatically. ;)

I couldn't find any pictures/drawings/schematics, what are you going to base your models on? I'd love to see what they will look like!

On the paganly worship cult

The Probe is protecting us.
:hailprobe:

Dear Matias Saibene, I dont want to be rude but, if some "cultists" in this forum still think they would remain safe as long as they frantically and paganly worship the presence of their sole and feable military space assets, it would only reveal how naive they are.
They should clearly know that these same offensive military orbital platforms would become the key reasons for other nations to try to put an end to their fate.:hunter:

FOB
The Hwason-1X series ICBM should have infinite-range strike capabilities, as a fractional-orbit missile (FOBS). Such a missile provides some advantages over a conventional ICBM. The range is limited only by the parameters of the orbit that the re-entry vehicle has been placed into, and the re-entry vehicle may come from either direction.
After launch it would go into a low Earth orbit and would then de-orbit for an attack. It had no range limit and the orbital flight path would not reveal the target location. This would allow a path to North America over the South Pole, hitting targets from the south, [thus the polar launch test conducted by north Korea in 2012] which is the opposite direction from which NORAD early warning systems are oriented.

EMP
An electromagnetic pulse, or EMP, is a super energetic radio wave that's immediately harmless to people, but it'll burn out all the critical electronic systems that sustain human economic activity and human life across vast areas, including the entire continental United States.

"North Korea's last round of tests, conducted in May 2009, appear to have included a "super-EMP" weapon, capable of emitting enough gamma rays to disable the electric power grid across most of the lower 48 states."

North Korea's nuclear tests have been dismissed as failures by some analysts because of their low explosive yield. But Dr Pry believes they bore the "signature" of the Russian-designed "super-EMP" weapon, capable of emitting more gamma radiation than a 25-megaton nuclear weapon.

The Center for Security Policy, in a report issued last year, has estimated that in the event of a wide-scale EMP attack on the United States, as many as nine out of ten Americans would be dead within one year

GPS
The Greater Korean Republic launched a supposed advanced GPS satellite that would be a signal of peace, but is actually an orbital weapon that detonated a high-altitude nuclear device over the U.S., creating an EMP burst that wipes out much of the nation's electrical infrastructure.

The Probe is not militaristic in nature, but it protects us all.

:hailprobe:

(but actually, the Probe is an "inside joke" on this forum based on the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_3"]Luna 3 probe[/ame])

And the last link is only from a video game.

For one to claim that space activities are not militaristic in nature reminds one of a thief crying "stop thief." This is a clumsy trick, as senseless as claiming that one can preserve virginity by making love.:rofl:

The last link is only illustrating the article by Kim Myong Chol often called an "unofficial" spokesman of Kim Jong UN and North Korea, and the implied strategy used. It is an American video game, thus an acknowledgement of the EMP/FOB strategies.

While it's true that the Space Race between the US and the USSR started with military ICBM development, and was mostly based on national prestige with some scientific purposes, a lot of space activities today are purely scientific/commercial and separate from the military.

edit: but it's also true that a lot of military contractors today also manufacture spacecraft/launch vehicles, even if they aren't being used for military purposes

Perhaps we should cool it with the "Probe" meme here.

Not all cultures (or individuals) understand the concept of sarcasm.

And note that the "range plot" by a North Korean propaganda guy is nothing to be proud of

There are two very good and simple reasons why FOBS systems are not in use, despite the idea for them being as old as the idea of ICBMs: They are in their nature so inaccurate that they are only good for large-area EMP attacks or blunt terror attacks against civilians (you can't hit any hardened military target with them). almost all current ICBMs are designed to operate in a very limited band of ranges (around 90° on a great circle ~ 10,000 km), so that the periodic perturbations of the orbit have no effect - any additional range possible beyond that is just for politicians.

And then, FOBS are highly visible launches: Additionally to the higher chance of detecting the launch, you have a much higher chance to be detected in fractional orbit. And you also have a much higher chance to be intercepted - destroying the warhead is not needed to stop its mission anymore, disturbing the deorbit burn and any navigation for it is enough. Which is pretty easy. On a ICBM, its pretty hard since the post-boost phase is usually done already after a few minutes and close to the launching country. For a FOBS, you could even get enough time to laser it to a slow heat death with already existing technology.

Praying to the probe is one good option there. Hoping that somebody is stupid enough to build such a waste of talent and resources another option.

I disagree. The :hailprobe: meme is an integral part of the Orbiter culture. Every newcomer (and we have a newcomer here, right?) should be made aware of it.

Dear Soheil_Esy, the "hail-probe" thing is just a meme around here, it has nothing to do with religion or militarism or other political nonsense. No reason to get excited, the thief he kindly spoke...

Sorry, but wrong.

Better compare it to a knife. The same knife that can be used by a skilled surgeon to cure a disease can also be used by somebody less specialized to kill somebody.

For a fascist mind, everything is militarist, because its perception is militarized - any non-militarist activity is wasteful to a fascist.

You simply dont get it. I will have to clarify it more slowly. In the third quote, the surpise factor as described in the "Homefront" game is everything! First you launch a "new type" GPS satellite to a designated slot into orbit. You send several more. What you get at the end? A 30 plus or so GPS satellites array, maybe even made of several hundreds or ten of thousands if you can afford the price. You have now a total coverage of the globe, and it is up to you to activate anyone of them or even all of them at the time of your choosing. Indeed these "new type" GPS satellites are nothing less than space Trojan horses, a cover to deploy secretly a worldwide EMP warheads array in space!:lol::lol:
Finally as ground targets electrical infrastructures are fried so are all of your helpless orbital assets.

"Homefront" game - you name it. Its a game.

Smokey, its not 'Nam, its a game, there are rules.

Its easy to be surprised if the game rules expects you to.

In the real world though, you would ring quite many alerts in quite a short time, and should there be any chance, that your unidentified space debris might crash on Washington DC, the USA would suddenly deploy some experimental weapon ;), that was never ready for operational deployment.

As the epicenter of the numbers of space launches slowly but irresistibly shifts toward Asia, it is appealing to see that in term of orbiter addons, Asia still lags sadly far behind the Western Hemisphere. As a matter of fact, the combined launches of Russia (RF), China (PRC), Japan (SJ), India (RI), Iran (IRI) and north Korea (DPRK) in 2014 amounted to 64 percent of the world's total. It is this bare ascertainment that brings me here today. My first goal is to make the most ambitious historical WWII era reconstitution. After years of investigation, and as informations are slowly leaked to the public media, it is time now to develop what could rightfully be named and nothing less than "The Mother of All Addons". Indeed, this is about the world's first astronauts and spaceships sometimes also called "pre-astronauts" and "pre-spaceships". There is neither official names disclosed nor details such as the mass, dimensions, speed, range, payload capacity, crew complement, endurance, armament, etc... Only guestimates. This epochal project will be temporarily known as "The FU-GO-4 Project".
Will be back every 90 minutes or so.:camera:

P.S.: English is not the most spoken mother tongue on Earth. Sorry if I make mistakes, since the most widely spoken language in the Universe is of course the language of science.

Soheil_Esy

So are you going to develop the add-ons or are you suggesting someone else develop them? I haven't seen any progress toward mock-ups or suggestions about what they would look like. This thread seems to be veering away from discussing the actual add-ons and more towards a debate about space warfare tactics.

Well, this is the Meets&Greets, not the addon development forum, anyway.

Soheil_Esy, do you intent this to be an addon development discussion, perhaps? Your writing style is pretty weird (what's with all the fairy tales, bots and stuff), so perhaps we just misinterpret your communication attempts, as you've already mentioned that you might be not that experienced with English.

If so, please note that O-F has separate forums for these kind of discussions. I'm sure our staff here will help you out if you have further questions.

regards,
Face
