The first flight of the Shuttle-C has lifted off from LC-39 A. This Shuttle-C is carrying the next two truss segments and the SSRMS 2 to the SSF.

SCS-FA1 is scheduled to dock will the SSF on the 2nd. It will dock to PMA 1 on node 4. After docking, the station crew will use the station arm to unberth a truss segment and position it to be attached to the station. Then two spacewalkers will go out and help with the installation. Two days later, a second spacewalk will install the second truss segment and remove the launch restraints on the SSRMS 2. The next day the ground will activate the SSRMS 2, run a checkout of the arm's control, and move it to dock with its PDGF on the station. After grappling the station the station crew will run more checks.

After being docked to the station for 5 days the SCS will undock and perform a flyaround of the station with the video from the payload bay cameras being downlinked to the ground for examination. After leaving the station area, the shuttle-C will then de-orbit to enter the atmosphere above the ocean.

UPDATE: 05 September 2010
The two truss segments have been installed on Space Station Freedom and the inital checkout of the SSRMS 2 is in work.

UPDATE: 06 September 2010
The checkout of the SSRMS 2 is complete and the station crew is preparing for the undock of SCS-FA1. The SCS will perform the traditional flyaround of the station before leaving the stations airspace to prepare its final task, entry and disintegration.

UPDATE: SCS-FA1 has been sighted over the pacific ocean. This concludes SCS-FA1 with the successful reentry of the vehicle. The next launch to the SSF will be the second Shuttle-C flight SCS-FA2 that will carry the two raidiator modules to the station.
