STS-202 is underway after a successfull launch from Vandenburg. The crew is performing Post Insertion tasks and is getting prepared for the deployment of the ESIS.

UPDATE 1 November:
The ESIS boom has been deployed and the crew is preparing to activate the scaning program.

UPDATE:
Scaning has now begun. The crew will work in two 12 hour shifts so that scaning will continue 24 hours a day for the duration of the flight.

UPDATE 8 November:
The ESIS boom has been retracted and Constitution is spending the day performing manuvers to desend from the 600km orbit in preperation for Deorbit and landing tomorrow. Landing will take place at Vandenburg around 11:15 am Pacific.

UPDATE 9 Nov:
Constitution has succesfully made the first shuttle landing at VAFB. This concludes STS-202. The next flight will be a Dragon Cargo spacecraft to Space Station Freedom launching on the 20th. The next launch from Vandenburg will be the launch of Skylab II 4 January 2011. The next shuttle flight will be made by Endeavour on STS-FA7-D. She will deliver the P2 truss Solar array to the SSF. STS-FA7-D is set to launch NET Nov. 30th.
