T+ 351 Days Engineering Log

No engineering issued have come up since the last log entry. Return cruise mode has been very uneventful. At T+ 350 days, MCC #6 was performed exactly as planned and now a complicated set of shaping burns will begin to reduce the burn time for our initial earth orbit insertion (EOI) burn.

Starting on T+ 360 a series of <5 minute burns will be performed. After each burn, the resulting approach orbit will be analyzed and the next burn will be calculated. The goal is to perform as many as 12 burns every 24 hours for the next 15 days with the last burn being the EOI burn on T+375.

We will be watching the health of our EHEs during each burn and will rotate the ones being used to allow us to properly test each motor before it is used again. EHE stands for Experimental Hyper Engine, but after this mission, there is talk about removing the word Experimental from their name. They have performed very well and the plan to remove the backup NTEs from the SSTV design in SSTV-002 bodes well for the future of SSTV Industries.

• T+375 days EOI and docking with ISS
• T+390 days Undocking and TLI
• T+393 days LOI and docking with lunar station and official end to mission #1
