Staff at KSC LC-40 are getting OV-301 Independence ready for launch on top of a Titan III rocket. Launch is set for 10:16:22 EST on the 14th and will take FE4 to the SSF for their tour of duty. FE4 will be the first full size crew with 6 members. FE3 is schedualed to undock from the SSF in the Justice (OV-302) the day after FE4 reaches the station. Independence will dock to PMA 1 until the Justice undocks and lands. After that, the crew will move Independence to the service module dock.

The Crew of FE4 has boarded the Independence and is waiting out the countdown.

UPDATE:
Independence is in orbit and on her way to the SSF. The launch was right on time with no issues during the climb uphill. FE4 will dock with PMA 2 on the SSF on Jan 16th.

Independace has docked with the SSF.

UPDATE: Jan 18
Crew transfer operations are now complete. FE3 have landed at KSC aboard the Justice and the CRV has been moved to its prossesing hanger to prepare for its next tour of duty. On orbit, Independence has been relocated to the docking port on the Service Module. FE4 is getting ready for the next shuttle mission and the undocking of the Space X Dragon capsule that has been at the station since November. The next flight to the SSF will be Space Shuttle Enterprise on mission STS-204-LF4. Enterprise is set to liftoff on January 30th.
